New Chili Burger

NEW CHILI BURGER


INGREDIENTS: 



  • 2 tablespoons of hot chili powder ( or mild )
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 5 ounces of drained cook red kidney beans  
  • 12 ounces lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Four 1 ounce split kaiser rolls
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin




METHOD:


Spray rack in broiler pan with non-stick cooking spray. Preheat broiler.
Heat oil in medium nonstick skillet, add onion and cook over medium heat.
Stirring frequently for 3 - 5 minutes, until onions get soften. 

Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, ginger and allspice. Cook, stirring frequently for 2 minute or longer fragrant and well blended. Remove from the heat.

Stir beans into onion mixture, mash beans with fork until crushed. 

In medium bowl, combine salt, beef, pepper and bean mixture, from into four equal patties. 
Place those patties onto prepared rack in broiler pan and broil 4" from heat.
Turn once, 14 minutes or longer until cooked through.
Serve each burger on a roll.
