RICE AND CHICKEN CASSEROLE
INGREDIENTS :
4 boneless. skinless chicken breast halves
1 soup can of milk
1 1/2 ounces of onion soup mix
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
3/4 cup of long grain rice, uncooked
4 ounces of undrained mushroom stems and pieces
DIRECTIONS :
Heat oven over 350 degrees.
Mix milk and vegetable, reserve 1/2 cup to soup mixture.
Mix remaining soup mixture, the mushroom and half of onion soup mix.
Spoon into ungreased baking dish ( 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inches )
Place chicken on rice mixture. Pour reserved soup mixture over the chicken.
Sprinkle with remaining onion soup mix.
Cover well and bake for 45 minutes. Then uncover and bake about 10-15 minutes longer until chicken is pink.
Servings 4
Time 1 hour and 10 minutes ( 1 hour for baking )
