Homemade Lamb Burger

GREEK LAMB BURGER




INGREDIENTS : 

  • 15 ounces of lean ground lamb
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 ground black pepper
  • 10 large chopped and pitted kalamata olives
  • 1 1/2 crumbled ounces feta cheese
  • 2 ounces whole - wheat pitas, halved from 4 pockets
  • 2 tablespoons mince fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 thinly sliced mall cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley 

DIRECTIONS : 


Spray the rack in broiler pan with non-stick cooking spray, preheat broiler. 
In mediums sized bowl, combine cheese, pepper, olives, lamb, kalamata olives parsley, salt and garlic and form into 4 patties. 
Place patties onto prepared rack in the broiler pan and broil 4" from heat, turn once 12 minutes or longer until cooked through. 
Place each burger into 1 pita pocket, top each burger with 2 tablespoons of yogurt and 1/4 of the cucumber and serve.
