Jalapeno Popper Wontons

JALAPENO POPPER WONTONS


INGREDIENTS : 


  • 3 - 4 jalapenos (finely chopped and removed seeds and ribs )
  • One package of refrigerated square wonton  wrapper
  • 8 ounces of softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese 
  • Vegetable oil ( for cooking / frying )
  • Sauce and salt.


METHOD : 

In a medium sized bowl, combine jalapenos, cheese, and cream cheese.
Arrange wontons in a single layer, on a baking sheet.
Add the 1 - 1 1/2 teaspoon of filling to the center on wontons.
Dip your clean fingers in to the bowl of pure water; run your wet fingers around the edges of each wonton.
Fold the wonton over the filling.
Pinch the edges to seal to make a triangle and remove any air bubbles.
Fry the wontons batches in hot oil until browned and crispy.
Drain on paper towels; sprinkle salt.
Serve warm.
